Hey son,

We are sitting in the San Jose airport waiting to fly home.  We've had a good time here but it is time to fly.  We went to the Muir Woods which is north of San Francisco on Friday.  It was beautiful.  We then spent some time in the city.   We rode a trolley car to union square.  Josh an I were hanging off the side in the very front.  So fun.  Josh waS in heaven.  We enjoyed Easter w the Peerys and had a fun Easter egg hunt.  Jason is the bishop of his wArd and we enjoyed sacrament meeting.  I was choked up during the meeting thinking about the Saviour  and how much he has done for us.  I was also emotional because I miss you so much.  Sometimes it takes my breath away.  But I am so glad you are serving The Lord.  Keep sending your encouragement to Kyle.   He is a good kid.  The nba playoffs just stArted.  The suns didn't make it. Bummer.   Congratulations on your successes.  So great to change the life of a family.  Nothing better.  Uncle Jason and Lisa say hello and are so stoked for you.  Happy bday !   20 wow.   Truly, your birth changed my life.   Love you always.

Dad

holaaaa padres!!!! como estaaan!!!!  how was your Easter weekend! sounds like you guys had a great time with the peerys! wish i could of been there to celebrate... would of been a party! what is Muir Woods? love the pictures that you guys sent!!!! Josh, Jake and Kyle all seem like they are changing! its crazy!!! i am sure that josh loved the trolley! i heard that he is tearing it up in baseball! wish i could see him play! and i heard that Jason in now the bishop of the ward! how awesome! is he enjoying it? hating it? did you give a talk? i had to give a talk... they called my and my companion at 6 in the morning asking if we could give another talk because the other people didn't come or respond the phone... i was supposed to talk about repentance and it was a cool experience... i got all choked up like always because of how important repentance is and what it did for me in my life.  it was a great experience for me and a lot of people enjoyed my talk and that they understood me... according to them which makes me really happy that i am able to speak things that i would like too in front of a huge crowd being unprepared! that morning as well we had a baptism of a couple which was a great experience for me... this area is really hard because the ward isn't working very hard and the bishop is garbage so basically we are doing all the work without the help of the ward... it was really satisfying to watch them come out of the water after i dunked them knowing that all their sins stayed in the water and that they can start a new life.  i got to baptize them both and the woman was 6 months pregnant so i had to be even more careful when i baptized them! haha... they gave some great testimonies and i really feel like the dad could be a strong leader in this ward if the members help and raise him... he also wants that his son serves a mission which makes me really excited because think of all the lives that his son will change because i changed the life of his parents! we are waiting on another couple that we have to get married but don't have enough money to pay for it so we are waiting until the receive enough money to get married! great little family of 3 as well. the dad is less active...and is living together which is EXTREMELY frequent here in Peru... to live together with out being married.  he already told us that he is going to save some money for his 11 year old son to serve a mission in the future as well... this week we didn't really find any new people to teach... this area is really weird and hard to understand but we are doing our best.  we are trying to get the ward unified and organized as best we can because the missionaries before us really hurt this area and the ward with their disobedience which is a shame.... i have a question, i really struggle with my confidence as a teacher, missionary, and with my Spanish... how can i make myself or get more confidence... i believe if i reach my full potential with my confidence that there will be nothing stopping me.... do i really take your breath away dad? ;) haha... i miss you guys too! ALOT! and of coarse i will keep talking to Kyle every week.. i really worry about him... i know he is a great kid... do everything you can for him dad so that he can reach his potential which he has a hard time seeing... i am doing pretty well right now... i am happy to be in the mission... i think about the ocean and surfing everyday. i look forward stepping into the water again.  and you are right there is no greater joy than changing a families life to the gospel.  have a great week mom and dad.. you are in my prayers. all i need is your love and support! you guys are the best parents i could have ever asked for! thanks for the packages as well! love you guys with all my heart!!!!

Hey Alex,

How's it going?   I really appreciate you writing Kyle.  That was nice of you.  I was so glad you'd take the time to do that.  Your town is so dusty.  There is no green anywhere. How's the work coming along?  Any weddings?   Bubba Watson won The Masters for the 2nd time.  What an awesome golf tournament.   I am so tired.  Will write more in the morning.  Love dad.

hey dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how is it going!!!!

i am doing alright! a couple of ours got married this week!! it was such an awesome experience for us and for them! we had the wedding reception in the chapel and we decorated it and all! the words of gratitude that our investigators told us were priceless.  they are truly grateful that we showed them the path... the true path... alot of members showed up for once too... it was a great turn out... the party went on till about 11 but we had to leave at 925 to be in the room on time.  it took so much work to get everything in order because everything was so disorganized... we don't have the greatest and smartest leaders here... especially the bishop and i think that he is going to get released soon for the stuff that has happened.... such a bummer because if the head of the ward is crap, everything else is too... yeah of course dad... it is my greatest fear that kyle will follow in my footsteps of the crappy example that i set for him and go through all the torture and darkness like i did.  i really expressed my feelings to him and i really hoped it helped! do you think it did? i sure hope soo... i would like to talk to him every week.... and yeah tell me about it dad... it is nothing but dust... its worse than Arizona! hahahaha... at least it rains every once in awhile in az... aqui it never rains..... never hahahah... the work is coming along... we have another couple that wants to get married and we are only missing the wedding to be able to baptize them... since we have been teaching them, they haven't missed a Sunday... very confident in this little family of 3 that we have found.  didn't find many new people to teach this week which was a bummer. my companion doesn't like to street contact at all... here that is how you find people to teach... so its hard for my companion to street contact but he will get over it... wow bubba won the masters for the second time!!!!! how awesome!!!!! would of loved too see the competition.  anyways i am stoke for the baptisms that are coming up! hope it gets my companion a little more motivated about things! Love you guys! will respond more to the other email!!!
