JULY 21, 2014 "LITTLE MIRACLES EACH AND EVERY DAY"
hola padres como estan!!!! bueno... mi tio brent me dijo que estan
yendo a la playa... estoy muy celoso pero esta bien... and to tell you guys the
truth i am really excited and really happy to be in the mission... i have a
great companion and we get along really well... i have learned that to have
success, you have to be unified with your companion. i know it will be the same
with my wife after the mission. but me and my companion definitely have great
unity and we are ready to do work..
this week have the baptism of nilda and her daughter angie... they are
really stoked about their baptism this week... they couldn't do it on this last
saturday for their time of the month but this week they are ready... after that
we have the baptism of famiily sanchez... a family of 3... yesterday we had a
killer lesson and they could not deny the spirit and we reinforced their fecha
and are ready for the second of august... afterwards we have a pf which is named
carlos... he is the father of the fam, his wife is less active but we are
reactivating her, and their son is goign to serve a mission soon as well... he
is for the 9 of august... we have the family of tocto silva... a fam of four...
like we have said alot we are just waiting for the husband to come home, they
get married because they have the birth certificates ready and everything and
afterwards they get baptized... the father comes home the 16 of august as well.
we have some other potentials but these are the fixed baptisms that we have.
what was kyle honored for??? i would like to hear more about this!
yesterday we had a great lesson with the family sanchez because the husband still
wasn't sure if he wanted to get baptized... after a great lesson and have the
spirit all around us, he could not deny it and told us that the second of august
is the day he will get baptized with his family... it was so awesome! the other
day we helped a member at his house fix his house... what we did was fix the
wooden walls.... quite interesting the way that people live here and what their
houses are made of but its awesome and i have come to love it. hows cali and
all the fam? oh how i miss a good rook game with the family! last night i had a
raging migraine and after asking my companion for a blessing 10 minutes later i
was able to fall asleep and the pain went away...just another little miracle
that happened in the mission... i love how the mission is filled with little
miracles each and every day... this week the president is coming to our district
meeting.. the other elders dont know... should be really interesting this
Wednesday! hahaha... my converts sent me a photo of their baby that was just
born and how my x companion was able to give him a blessing... they write me
every week telling me how excited they are to be able to see me when they go to
the temple this April on my birthday! they are so awesome! how is the whole
family doing?? i feel like during the week i have so much to tell you but then
when i get to the computer it all goes away hahaha... oh but i do remember a
moment where i learned that it is really really important to listen with all
your heart and might to the spirit in the lessons... was an experience that i
wont forget for sure! anyways i am loving living over here in the dunes of Peru!
i cant wait to show you guys one day! hope you like some of the pictures! the
first pic is of my converts and their new baby! a picture of one of my favorite
plates here in peru.. se llama arroz con pollo! and we have a sweet hammock in
our house! its legit! anyways! i love you guys! ask me more questions! that
always helps me to think about the things to tell you guys! love you with all my
heart!

Hey brodda ,
I am so excited to hear that things are going so well. I can sense the excitement in your letters. That's a great feeling. I am just hopping on a plane back to Phx. I picked Kyle up fri football camp in Payson thurs night and flew to cbad fri morn. Went right out and had some really fun waves from a south swell that started thurs. Thurs was the day but fri was still good. Surfed the reef at terra mar. Fish everywhere.
Kyle was honored by the coaches at camp on their twitter page. He was stoked.
All the wades are coming in. I had a great rook game today. Brent and I beat up on Steve and Matt. We slaughtered them twice and they beat us barely once. So fun. Everybody misses you. Steve has girlfriend here. She is very nice. He is in love. We fly back wed night. Kyle and I. I went to the cabin before I picked up Kyle. Alan & Linda were there w granny. We had a great dinner and enjoyed the evening. We were sitting out on the new back deck when a big elk came up. Really cool. Gotta go.
Love dad!!!!

July 14: The work is heating up!!!! "my president's the SHIZ???"
yoooooooo mis padres! como estamos? les extraño mucho! ahora esta
empezando su rutina por la verano! estoy muy celoso que estan alli pero esta
bien! kyle is at football camp, darn that is why he didn't write me... i am
going to write him a letter for him when he gets back to read! how is the
weather in cali? alot of my missionary friends want to come down to carlsbad and
hang out already hahahaha... our district is awesome! elder crouch is from az...
from chandler... we have become really good friends! its crazy the change that
the president and the lord have put alot of power in our district... we worked
really hard to gain the unity and trust of each other... i believe that this
next change that will start tomorrow, we will see some amazing things. i am not
going to lie but the missionaries dad think you are awesome! its great! it just
makes me more happy each and everyday for the family and the parents that i
have. glad that things are going well at work! this is always good! and really?
no good movies have come out lately? what a shame... and ever more of a shame
about the small waves... but any day is a fun day out on the orange whale!
hahahaha.. i am extremely jealous because right now i have no shoulders ;( its
very sad i have definitely lost alot of my muscle... makes me sad. but i will
fix it when i get back out on my board. and dad that is a classic story with the
scuba diver... it makes me remember the time i was surfing with you, kurtis, and
his dad and my and kurtis were sitting inside of the pack and a dolphin with a
fin that looked like a shark came up right in between us and we screamed like
little girls around everyone... hahahaha great memories. did you guys no
participate in the tri?? the working is really improving... it was hard because
my companion rolled his ankle really good and could hardly walk...but not it is
better... we have gotten to a level of great unity where were we are reading
each others minds.... cool story this week.. we were teaching a single mother
and her daughter who are getting baptized this week. we were talking about
baptism to help them really understand it... when my companion finished
talking... i started sharing things that were coming to my mind and heart.
after the lesson my companion told me that what i was saying is exactly what he
wanted to say but he didn't need to say it because i had already said it... its
great to see that we are arriving at a level of unity in our companionship that
i believe will help us make miracles because it all depends on how well you get
along with your companion. not to mention my companion is known for baptizing
so real soon we shall make so damage and history in the mission... I'm really
excited and hope everything goes well. just got to stay humble and confident.
i feel like i am always having problems with my stomach... i always feel
stomach pain... not strong at all and its only every once in awhile but that is
about it... i believe that it is the food. still not used to it. but no i have
been badly sick for awhile...knock on wood! hahahaha... we have one investigator
who we are waiting for to be able to baptize his family... its a family of 3...
he being the father and we don't want to baptize the famlily with out the father
being the first one to enter into the water ... it has been crazy his
progress... he didnt want to talk to us at all... now he has been to church 3
times and is asking us alot of questions and his date for baptism is the second
of august... i am stoked... he is doing great.. he still has doubts but i
believe he will get baptized.... we also have another father that we found that
his wife is less active and his son we reactivated who has 19 years of age who
is now going out and teaching with us and is starting his mission papers... his
dad accepted to be baptized if he receives an answer to his prayer. and i know
he will if he asks with a sincere heart. we have a family that is already ready
to get baptized... but just when all the paper work was arriving... he had to
leave to go work in chiclayo which is like 9 hours away for 2 months... fricking
satanas.... but he is coming back in the end of august and is going to church up
there and his family is coming to church here... its a family of 4 as well. we
have some ofther people that we are teaching and we hope to find more families
to teach because it is our goal to baptize families weekly and we really believe
that we can get it done... i am loving living here in the dunes of peru... the
ward is awesome like always... beautiful building... i am getting real good at
soccer... like every pday i look forward to playing... no i havent read jesus is
the christ but i will... the mission in a couple of months is loosing alot of
leaders and great missionaries... i will not be surprised to be called a leader
soon. need to prepare myself more but excited to see what will happen... my
mission president is the shiz... i promise you that he will be part of the 70...
he is crazy...anyways, i am loving the work and everything that is going on
here... the other day i had to give a lesson with my companion of the
restoration in front of 50 people... i was so nervous... but it was a great
lesson and the spirit was strong... love being a missionary.... i still cant
believe that today i now have 11 months.,... the time seriously needs to slow
down...
love you guys will all my heart!

Yo elder Mac.
I am waiting at the airport in San Diego waiting to fly back to Phoenix. I have another delayed flight. Almost every flight I have taken on Sunday evening has been delayed. I don't really care. I'm just missing out on a little bit of sleep. I had a fun weekend in Cbad. Marci & Ryan were there as well as jenny & Adam. They left Saturday and took Jake with them. He will fly back next Friday morning. Kyle has football camp all this week up in Payson. I will pick him up thurs eve and fly back to cbad on fri am.
Work is going well and I am enjoying my staff. There have been no good movies out lately. The wAves were small this weekend. I surfed my 9'6 both days. I still had a lot of waves. My shoulders are in great shape. I was sitting at the reef (Terra mar )
When all the sudden some bubbles started to come up. At first I thought it was a dolphin. It kept coming towards me. I started to get nervous. I've never seen anything like it. Then it surfaced....a scuba diver. I was like what? Oh well. I am seriously tan. The Cbad triathlon was today. My flight was just pushed back 20 more minutes. Argh!
I hope the work is going well. I hope you are having fun. Have you been sick lately? Heather and Ryan are here now. I hate leaving but don't mind working. I never heard from your pres. I am sorta bummed about that. Have you read Jesus the Christ yet? Such a good book. I am so stoked about your testimony. The gospel is a wonderful thing....even if the people in it are whacked sometimes. Love you bud!!!
Dad
