How's it going elder mac?   I am very curious if you felt that earthquake in Chile?  It made the national news.  Make sure you learn what to do in case of  earthquake .   It was great to hear you excited about who you are working with.   What a wonderful thing to get people married and baptized.   Those are big commitments.   I enjoyed watching conference today.   I really liked Uchdorfs talk about grAtitude.   I know you probably saw every session.   That's a great thing about being a full time missionary.
In other news Kyle lost his bid for senior class vp.  He was bummed. In fact, I had a long talk w him tonight.  He just seems unhappy.  Say your prayers for him.  I am worried about him.   He seems lost right now.  He is very unmotivated and seems to be lacking in direction. I hope that I can help him.  The suns are battling for a playoff spot.  Playing OKC tonight. Tough game.   We went and saw the new captain America movie tonight.   Really good.  You can look forward to it post mission.   Send us your exact address.  We are planning to go to Palo Alto over Easter holiday.  Good luck w your work.  Love you.

yooooooo daddo!!! como esta!

well to answer to your curiosity, i did not feel the earthquake but the southern part of Peru did! i am more in the northern part so no! i have felt alot of temblores which are little shakes in the earth that are not the size or magnitude of earth quakes! yeah i am really excited about this week becasue this is the first wedding on friday and i am really nervous to see how the ward helps buecause to tell you the truth dad... this ward is falling badly becasue of the gossiping and the bishop is terrible... we have talked with the president and i beleive that he might be getting released... there is so many things in this ward that makes me so sad but grateful that we dont have nearly as many problems as them in our ward back at home.  ohhh my favorite session for sure was priesthood.  wow those talks by Ridds, Oaks, uchdorf, aand Monson were incredible... i was really thrilled to hear how concerned and direct they were with us... it was a shame, only 5 priesthood holders from our ward came to the meeting when in the states the whole stake center is filled... it really is a different world in some of these wards and how much help they need.  it is why we are only assigned to one ward when in the states they are assigned to numerous! i am really really bummed to hear about what happened with Kyle... i had such high hopes and dreams for him. he probably is really disappointed with alot of things and is having a hard time finding himself but this is where scripture study and family home evening will be huge for him dad... if you sit down with him and read the scriptures even if at first he will not like it, i know that he will be grateful for it afterwards.  take all the time you can to just go golfing with him or do things that HE thinks is cool.  he will really gain alot of confidence in you and really respect your words and counsel.  it brings me alot of sadness because it brings me back to the days when i was in darkness and how it took me along time to find the light.  do everything possible for him dad... he is a great kid... help him find his potential in life... and push him in that direction. one thing i have learned from this conference is that love goes alot further then yelling.  i know you love him with all your heart but try to make that love deeper by really trying to be apart of his life.  don't give up if he shuts you out at first... its just because he is not used to it.  i know you will do the right thing dad because you did the right thing for me.  please tell him to write me. a new captian america movie! SWEET! i hope you guys are keeping track of the good movies that come out for post mission! the work is coming along,,, working with a companion who thinks quite a bit about his girlfriend which is kind of annoying and likes to disobey a few things for example music of the world.  we have set some goals but in general he is alot better then my other companion. great kid as well but personalities didn't match... i hope that you have a great week in palo alto! give scotty a huge hug for me and his decision to serve a mission! he will not regret one moment of it! its crazy how deep my knowledge of the gospel is becoming because of the mission! love you with all my heart dad! i hope we can see some miracles this week!

love your son,
elder macdonald
